Some of Our Projects

Laredo Project: La Jolla Hillside & Coastal Canyon Restoration

Our team transformed this challenging sloped property in La Jolla into a multi-level outdoor environment that maximizes usability and coastal canyon views. By combining structural engineering with thoughtful grading, we implemented custom hillside stabilization using retaining walls and natural boulder integration to ensure long-term soil stability and erosion control.

The design features a standout custom bocce ball court and a shaded pavilion lounge, creating a premier social gathering area within the hillside setting. To maintain a warm, organic appearance, we installed a decomposed granite pathway system and timber step transitions, seamlessly blending the structural elements into the natural San Diego canyon environment.

Windsor Project: Encinitas Coastal Pergola & Native Garden

This Encinitas landscape installation showcases a thoughtfully designed California native and drought-tolerant landscape tailored for coastal North County living. The project features a custom-built wood pergola patio cover that expands the home’s outdoor living space, providing comfortable shade and year-round usability while complementing the property’s coastal character.

The surrounding gardens incorporate a curated selection of coastal sage varieties, pollinator-friendly perennials, and sculptural succulents that offer seasonal color and habitat support. By utilizing natural textures like decorative river rock and mulch, we created a low-maintenance environment that improves irrigation efficiency and water retention for a truly sustainable yard.

Capilla Project: Rancho Bernardo Sustainable Hillside & Drainage

This Rancho Bernardo project demonstrates how professional native design can transform challenging slopes into functional, beautiful outdoor spaces. We addressed curb appeal and drainage challenges by installing a sculpted dry creek bed and natural boulders to slow and direct stormwater runoff, effectively preventing erosion while adding an organic aesthetic.

The planting palette features drought-tolerant Mediterranean and California native plants, including Salvia, Ceanothus, and native grasses. These selections provide year-round texture and habitat for local birds and beneficial insects, significantly reducing irrigation demand and creating an environmentally responsible landscape that blends perfectly with the local environment.

Woodvale Project: Carlsbad Modern Native Meadow

Designed and installed for the coastal San Diego climate, this Carlsbad project highlights a water-efficient front yard transformation. We blended modern residential architecture with layered native shrubs, ornamental grasses, and flowering perennials to create a sustainable, low-maintenance environment that supports local butterflies, bees, and birds.

To enhance curb appeal, we installed custom concrete walkways and permeable hardscape elements that improve drainage and reduce runoff. The project is completed with low-voltage landscape lighting that highlights architectural features and extends the usability of the outdoor living space well into the evening.
